University Prep Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Summit Tahoma Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant University Prep Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15, 25-15.

University Prep Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Nguyen out in front who had 26 digs. Nguyen is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 13 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taran Kollu, who had 23 assists and two aces.

University Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in nine consecutive games.

University Prep Academy pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Summit Tahoma, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

University Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against ACE Charter on the 28th. As for Summit Tahoma, they will face off against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
