Basketball Recap: St. Mary Takes a Loss

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 59-42 fall against the Logansport Tigers. While losing is never fun, St. Mary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Logansport is ranked 66th).

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Logansport, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

St. Mary will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Glenbrook at 5:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Logansport, they will face off against Lakeview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Logansport has won nine straight at home, while Lakeview won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
