Football Game Preview: Yreka Miners vs. Anderson Cubs + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Jerome Walker and Cooper Crye are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Yreka Miners will challenge the Anderson Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Yreka will be strutting in after a win while Anderson will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Yreka needed a bit of extra time to put away West Valley. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Eagles 15-14. Winning may never get old, but the Miners sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The critical scores for Yreka came from Abel Navarro and Walker.

Meanwhile, Anderson and Lassen faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Cubs were dealt a 43-6 defeat at the hands of the Grizzlies. The loss continues a trend for the Cubs in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost four in a row.

Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Yreka, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Yreka was able to grind out a solid win over Anderson when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 17-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
