Basketball Recap: Carolina International's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of four wins, Carolina International's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mountain View Prep Stars by a score of 53-51.

When it comes to explaining why Carolina International lost, don't look at Josiah Bridges. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and four steals. The contest was Bridges' third in a row with at least ten points. Landon Griffin was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points.

Bryson Drummond was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 15 en route to 28 points and five rebounds for Mountain View Prep. Drummond is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ma'Ori Henderson, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Carolina International's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Mountain View Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Carolina International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-58 win against Piedmont Community Charter on the 24th. Mountain View Prep has also already played their next game, a 52-47 loss against Greer Middle College on the 24th.
