Basketball Recap: Manzanola Comes Up Short

Manzanola lost against Granada back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Manzanola took a blow against Granada, falling 74-34. Manzanola has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manzanola's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wesley Garcia, who posted seven points and five steals. Garcia is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Mark Holland was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Manzanola's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Granada, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Manzanola has already played their next contest, a 60-26 loss against Cheraw on the 16th. Granada and Kit Carson will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
