Baseball Recap: Foothill Triumphs

Foothill saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Northwood Timberwolves by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Adam Ujiie looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Foothill got a massive performance out of Evrett Rycroft, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ezekiel Vargas, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Northwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season.

Foothill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against El Dorado on the 9th. As for Northwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against El Modena on the 8th.
