Baseball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance was the 9-5 winner over Cardinal Mooney when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Aviators fell 6-3 to the Cardinals on Thursday. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alliance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamren Burton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Bo Davis was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Alliance's record is now 15-8. As for Cardinal Mooney, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Alliance will head out to square off against McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against University School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Preppers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
