Volleyball Recap: Creekside Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

The Creekside Knights made easy work of the Oviedo Lions on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Creekside was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-12.

Spence Stokes paced Creekside's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stokes got some help from Andrew Bennie and his 25 assists. Bennie also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Scott Miller, racking up two apiece.

Creekside's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Oviedo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Creekside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lake Nona on the 4th. As for Oviedo, they will challenge Ponte Vedra at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
