Basketball Game Preview: Pasadena Eagles vs. Dayton Broncos

The Pasadena Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Dayton Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pasadena has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Dayton will arrive with four straight victories.

Pasadena fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against West Fork on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 33-24 to the Gators.

Dayton not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 21, 2025 (when they won 83-30). They were the clear victors by a 51-29 margin over Kingwood Park. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 540th, while the Panthers are ranked 1378th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dayton's record is now 13-9. As for Pasadena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Pasadena couldn't quite finish off Dayton in their previous meeting back in January of 2025 and fell 25-23. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
