Baseball Game Preview: Wallington Panthers vs. Hasbrouck Heights Aviators

Wallington is 2-8 against Hasbrouck Heights since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Aviators at 4:00 p.m.

On Friday, Wallington came up short against Garfield and fell 9-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hasbrouck Heights). They put the hurt on Bergen Charter with a sharp 23-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Aviators, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hasbrouck Heights has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Wallington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Wallington might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Hasbrouck Heights in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
