Maurepas is a perfect 3-0 against False River since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolves will look to defend their home field against the Gators at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Maurepas took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Dunham 12-4. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolves needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Saydie Sterling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

They were the clear victors by a 25-1 margin over the Flames. The contest marked the Gators' most dominant win of the season.
Teryn Deville was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Deville was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Reese Hadley was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Shelby Donohue was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
False River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .935. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
False River's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Maurepas, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Everything went Maurepas' way against False River in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Maurepas made off with a 15-0 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
