Basketball Recap: Columbia Central Takes a Loss

Columbia Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blackman Blaze. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Blaze are ranked 63rd).

Columbia Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Blackman, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Columbia Central Lions challenge the Giles County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackman and Shelbyville Central will compete for holiday cheer at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
