Volleyball Recap: Sumiton Christian Comes Up Short

Sumiton Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Meek Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12.

Sumiton Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-25. As for Meek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Sumiton Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hubbertville at 5:00 p.m. As for Meek, they will be taking part in a tournament against Guntersville at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
