Ryan Self was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
