There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to Mount Si's senior Cale Millen, who scored seven total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
No Stoppin 'Em
Mt. Spokane was the better team in every quarter against North Central last week and consequently the better team overall. Mt. Spokane put the hurt on North Central with a conclusive 60 - 19 victory. Mt. Spokane made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite. The combined 79 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
This Week's Big Showdown
The clash of the power ranking titans last week was between Black Hills (12th in the power rankings) and Tumwater (15th). Black Hills snuck past Tumwater with a 22 - 17 victory. Black Hills saw its record improve to 8-0 and its power rank jump 24 places as a result.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Sumner (21st in the power rankings) and Graham-Kapowsin (7th). Both teams are coming in hot off of wins in their previous games. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both Sumner and Graham-Kapowsin put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they play one another this week.
