Burwell skates past Palmer with ease

Recap: Burwell Longhorns vs. Palmer Tigers

The Burwell Longhorns's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-29 win over Palmer. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payton Coplen, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Myers, who scored five points along with six rebounds.

Burwell's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Palmer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Burwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Arcadia/Loup City on Friday. Arcadia/Loup City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Palmer, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game.
