Baseball Recap: Negreet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pickering last Friday, Negreet came back down to earth. The Negreet Indians came up short against the Hornbeck Hornets on Monday, falling 14-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 16-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Negreet has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. Hornbeck's victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Negreet will welcome Converse at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Converse will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Negreet surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hornbeck, they will face off against Zwolle at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
