Basketball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County lost to North Bay Haven Academy back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seahawks took a blow against the Buccaneers, falling 52-16. The Seahawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-11.

North Bay Haven Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ally Brady, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 16 boards. Brady is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Kaylee Goodpaster was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards.

Franklin County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Franklin County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wakulla at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they will take on South Walton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
