Softball Recap: Avery Comes Up Short

Avery lost against Bloomburg back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Wildcats, falling 13-6. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kristin Burkett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Those triples were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lyla Clark, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Avery's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bloomburg, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

As of now, neither Avery nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
