Softball Recap: Gridley's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gridley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Northgate Broncos on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Gridley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Mendenhall, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Northgate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Gridley nor Northgate have any future games scheduled.
