While Aptos's victory against Pacific Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mariners had just enough and edged out the Breakers 4-3 on Saturday. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Breakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Aptos' victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Finn Cormier, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Nate Garcia also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Aptos' record now sits at 4-8. As for Pacific Grove, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aptos will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Scotts Valley at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Mariners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Pacific Grove, they are taking a road trip to square off against Everett Alvarez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
