Softball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Trinity was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 19-1 to the Randleman Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Trinity saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Ann Huneycutt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Trinity has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Randleman, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Coming up, Trinity will host Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.94 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Randleman, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
