Basketball Recap: Mojave Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jac?Amore Fahie Fahie and Zeryah Stokes

Mojave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 37-30 to the Palo Verde Panthers. While the Rattlers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 9-4 in the first quarter.

Zeryah Stokes and Jac?Amore Fahie Fahie certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Stokes went 6 of 14 on her way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Fahie posted seven points in addition to nine boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Stokes a new career-high in points.

Leading Palo Verde to victory were Breanna Richards-Scholz and Reagan Nehls. Richards-Scholz had nine points and four steals, while Nehls scored 13 points.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Palo Verde, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Mojave wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-27 win against Cimarron-Memorial on the 16th. Palo Verde has also already played their next contest, a 63-30 defeat against Spring Valley on the 16th.
