Basketball Recap: Legacy Charter Piles Up the Points Against East Ridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legacy Charter). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the East Ridge Knights 89-62. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Knights are ranked 314th).

Legacy Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khori Polarchy, who shot 47% from the field en route to 19 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Polarchy's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb McPherson, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 22 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Legacy Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Legacy Charter's record now sits at 5-1. As for East Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Legacy Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-35 win against Real Life Christian Academy on the 11th. As for East Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 79-76 victory against Horizon on the 10th.
