Baseball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Madison and Silver Creek meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Cubs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Cubs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Silver Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Madison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Jennings County on the 24th. As for Silver Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Jeffersonville on the 23rd.
