The Purchase Line Red Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Purchase Line is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] on Friday. The Red Dragons took a hard 41-22 fall against United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]. The loss continues a trend for the Red Dragons in their meetings with United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]: they've now lost four in a row.

Purchase Line might have lost, but man, Victor Bartlebaugh was a machine: he rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Bartlebaugh's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 46-18, which was the final score in Bishop Guilfoyle's tilt against Bishop McCort on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Crushers are ranked 14th).
Although Bishop Guilfoyle took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Schimminger, Landon Shellenberger, and Jake Kissell.
Purchase Line's record now sits at 3-7. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, their record is now 8-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Purchase Line has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 213.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bishop Guilfoyle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 177.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Purchase Line took a serious blow against Bishop Guilfoyle in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, falling 38-8. Can the Red Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
