Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Atascocita Eagles

The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will head out to square off against the Atascocita Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cypress Ranch comes in on six and Atascocita on eight.

Cypress Ranch barely beat Waller the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Cypress Ranch was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Waller on Friday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atascocita). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Humble a 13-0 shutout on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Cypress Ranch's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Atascocita, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5-2.
