Volleyball Recap: Republic County Triumphs

Republic County won the last time they faced Wakefield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Bombers by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Republic County was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-11.

Kymry Hoesli paced Republic County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hoesli got some help from Tallyn Melton and her 22 assists. Hoesli was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Republic County's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Wakefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15-1.

Republic County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Peabody-Burns on the 27th. Wakefield has also already played their next contest (against Elyria Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
