Football Recap: Cumberland Gap Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cumberland Gap extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-7. They were beaten by the West Greene Buffaloes 34-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Noah Meyer threw for 27 yards. Benson Hensley was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.

West Greene's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Shawn Bailey was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cumberland Gap will head out to take on Eagleton College & Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. As for West Greene, they will venture away from home to challenge Oneida at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
