Recap: Manteca Buffaloes vs. East Union Lancers
The Manteca Buffaloes posted their biggest victory since December 20, 2023 on Friday. They blew past East Union, posting a 63-27 victory on the road. Given Manteca's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while East Union is ranked 989th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Manteca's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Nelson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Blake Glasgow, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Manteca has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for East Union, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manteca will take on Oakdale at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Union, they will be playing at home against Central Catholic at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Catholic is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
