Softball Recap: Tyngsborough Falls Short Against Ranked Central Catholic

Tyngsborough faced Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Raiders, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tyngsborough saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Hogan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.

Tyngsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3-1. As for Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyngsborough will venture away from home to face off against Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Catholic, they will face off against Billerica Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
