Basketball Recap: Meeker Comes Up Short

Meeker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Okemah Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Panthers are ranked 104th).

Meeker's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Okemah, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Meeker has already played their next game (against Seminole), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Okemah will take on Warner at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Okemah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
