After two games on the road, Ponder is heading back home. They will host the Boyd Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponder knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Boyd likes a good challenge.

He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Rece Faulkner was another key player, picking up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Boyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Callisburg on the road and fell 39-12.

Despite the defeat, Boyd had strong showings from Will McIntire, who threw for 207 yards and a touchdown, and Hunter Etter, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Boyd wouldn't let Callisburg keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Boyd can thank Donald Ray and Noah Stevens for forcing both of them.

Ponder's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Boyd, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Friday's match might be decided in the trenches. Ponder has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Boyd, though, as they've been averaging only 75.2. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
