Basketball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Houston faced off against Lesterville on Saturday. The Houston Tigers were outmatched by the Lesterville Bearcats and fell 85-48. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Houston dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lesterville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Houston will face off against Cabool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Houston is facing Cabool at the right time seeing as Cabool is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Lesterville, they will take on Crystal City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crystal City will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lesterville surely won't give up without a fight.
