Basketball Recap: Liberty Charter Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Liberty Charter couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Knights on Friday. The Patriots have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Liberty Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Lakeside, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Liberty Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Butte County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
