Baseball Recap: Talawanda Comes Up Short

Talawanda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ross Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brave of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ethan Hainline made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Kyle Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Talawanda's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ross, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

While Talawanda had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
