Baseball Recap: Kuna Beats Capital for Their Fourth Straight Win

Kuna won the last time they faced Capital and things went their way on Friday too. The Kavemen came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 7-3. Winning may never get old, but the Kavemen sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Zane Hoagland tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Lombardi, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Kuna hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capital struck out eight times.

Kuna's record now sits at 11-7. As for Capital, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Coming up, Kuna will venture away from home to take on Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Kavemen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Capital, they will host Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
