Recap: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Northumberland Indians

The Westmoreland Eagles lost against the Northumberland Indians last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Westmoreland took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northumberland.

Northumberland found their leader in underclassman Tyreek Lundy, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Lundy hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Cintez Gibson, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Westmoreland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Northumberland, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Westmoreland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northumberland, they will head out on the road to square off against Lancaster at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lancaster's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
