Underclassman Jaycee Cruz came into Saturday's game looking to prove herself and that's exactly what she did. She wasn't messing around on Saturday, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her third straight with zero or fewer earned runs.

Looking ahead, Cruz and C.H. Yoe will take on Brazos Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazos Christian will enter the matchup having just beaten Somerville, so C.H. Yoe will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
