Basketball Recap: Macks Creek's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Weaubleau last Friday, Macks Creek came back down to earth. The Macks Creek Pirates fell 40-28 to the Walnut Grove Tigers on Saturday. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Macks Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Ratliff, who posted 11 points. Brooklyn Duggan was another key player, putting up two points along with five assists and four steals.

Macks Creek's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3. As for Walnut Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Macks Creek will face off against Tuscumbia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Grove, they will challenge Marshfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
