West Jefferson put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Cedarville Indians. Fans of the Roughriders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Kimberly Warnock and Payton Kincade did most of the damage at the plate: Warnock went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Kincade went 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI. That home run marked the first that Warnock has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Carruthers, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

West Jefferson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .314 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

West Jefferson's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cedarville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

West Jefferson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Northeastern on the 12th. As for Cedarville, they have also already played their next game, an 11-7 defeat against Greeneview on the 14th.
