Baseball Recap: Spooner Takes a Loss

Spooner lost to Ashland back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rails fell just short of the Oredockers by a score of 8-7. Rails fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Oredockers since Tuesday.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Ashland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spooner will square off against rival Cameron at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ashland is set to challenge their familiar foe Hayward at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
