Football Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brighton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Chatfield Chargers and fell 57-8. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Chargers are ranked 24th).

Tc Lindemann threw for 119 yards and one touchdown. Nui Baker was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Tate Tompkins rushed for 52 yards.

As for Chatfield, the win got them back to even at 2-2. They have beaten Brighton the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Brighton has come to flipping the script.

Cash Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 289 yards and six TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 289 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Jaden Zellar was in the mix too, providing Chatfield with two scores.

Coming up, Brighton will take on Bear Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 8.5 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chatfield, they will face off against Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
