It's playoff time, and Johnson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Weslaco Panthers on Saturday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Johnson's eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Weslaco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Johnson by a score of 5-4 later that day.
