 Even though the Hawkinsville Red Devils scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Telfair County Trojans still came out on top. Telfair County walked away with  a   63-55  win over Hawkinsville. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Telfair County also won the last time the pair played  back in January.
 Telfair County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Zah'Mya McDuffie, who  scored 19 points along with five  assists and five  rebounds. McDuffie is crushing the  steal category: she's  posted at least two every time she's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Trynitee Newson, who  scored 20 points.
 When it comes to explaining why Hawkinsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Makayla Edwards. Despite the final result, she  scored 17 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Edwards hasn't dropped below two  steals for 19 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sequoyah Whitehead, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and nine  rebounds.
 Telfair County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record  this season. As for Hawkinsville,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-11.
