Basketball Recap: Hailey Mcclurg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Logan/Palco over Northern Valley

Logan/Palco was the 39-37 winner over Northern Valley when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Logan/Palco fell 51-43 to the Northern Valley Huskies on Friday. Logan/Palco's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Several Logan/Palco players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey McClurg, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 15 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Lylah Voss, who posted seven points along with five boards and three blocks.

Northern Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Haedyn Cox out in front who put up 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. Cox has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. Jordyn Cox was another key player, going 8 for 14 en route to 17 points along with six boards and three steals.

Logan/Palco's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Northern Valley, their record now sits at 5-12.

Logan/Palco has already played their next match, a 45-34 victory against Triplains/Brewster on the 8th. As for Northern Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-52 win against Weskan on the 8th.
