Basketball Recap: Cascade Ramblers vs. Salmon River Savages

If Cascade was riding high fresh off their 61-5 takedown of Greenleaf Friends Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cascade Ramblers were beaten by the Salmon River Savages 51-22 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Ramblers in their matchups with the Savages: they've now lost seven in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salmon River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Walters, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Walters has scored at least a third of Salmon River's points. Sierra Rainwater also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Cascade now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Salmon River, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
