Volleyball Recap: Casteel Falls Short Against Ranked Perry

Casteel faced Perry in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Colts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pumas. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on March 8th.

Jack Telford paced Casteel's offense, picking up six kills. Telford got some help from Layton Bluth and his 16 assists.

Casteel's loss dropped their record down to 16-6-1. As for Perry, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

Casteel has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mater Dei on the 28th. As for Perry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Higley on the 28th.
