Basketball Recap: Holmes Takes a Loss

Holmes played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Brennan Bears and fell 63-22. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bella Flemings continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brennan, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. Flemings has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Janea Walls was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Brennan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Holmes and O'Connor will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Crystal Aragon and Casey Chavez. Brennan will take on Stevens in a holiday battle at at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st. Stevens has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with 13 straight losses, while Brennan will come in with six straight wins.
