Basketball Recap: East Bakersfield Takes a Loss

East Bakersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Spartans, falling 80-29. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Blades couldn't push the score so high this time.

East Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will head out to challenge North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for South, they will challenge Mira Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Mira Monte: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while South has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
